In this area, we handle for our clients all documentation related to their entrance and departure of the country, as well as the control of their migratory status and of their families. Panama offers an excellent opportunity for retired tourists, investors, foreign retired annuitants and our offices have experience in the handling of these Visas, as well as for executives and technicians and the handling of permanent residence permits in the country and naturalization letters.

Visa of Retired Annuitant
 


Power of Attorney and Petition granted to an Attorney. The power of attorney must include the complete name of the parents of the interested party and on the petition it must specify all the general data of the attorney (office address, telephone number, fax number and postal address, if any), and mention all documents being enclosed as well as the legal basis.

  • Medical Health Certificate issued three (3) months previous to the date of filing (must bear the signature and seal, with the name, code and registration number of the doctor).
  • HIV laboratory test performed within six (6) months previous to the date of filing (must specify the method used and must bear the signature and seal, with the name, code and registration number of the laboratory performing the test).
  • Police record from the country of origin (only when the interested party has less than 5 continuous years of residence in Panama).
  • Sworn Affidavit of Personal Records.
  • Two (2) sets of photocopies of the complete passport, each set authenticated before a Notary Public.
  • Four (4) photographs, identity card size.
  • Original passport, valid for at least six months.
  • Certificate issued by "Banco Nacional de Panama", certifying that the interested party has a monthly minimum income of Seven hundred fifty Balboas (B/.750.00) (legal currency of the Republic of Panama), obtained exclusively from interests of fixed time deposits, free of encumbrances or guaranty of any nature. Said fixed time deposit shall be for a minimum term of five (5) years.
  • Photocopy of the Fixed Time Deposit Certificate or Agreement, authenticated by "Banco Nacional de Panama".
  • Two additional sets of photocopies of all documents being filed, except the passport.

NOTE: In case the petition includes dependents (ONLY WIFE AND MINOR CHILDREN) , it must include the following documents:

  • Each dependent of legal age shall grant a Power of Attorney to a Lawyer and the parents shall grant a Power of Attorney on behalf of their minor children.
  • Medical Health Certificate issued three (3) months previous to the date of filing (must bear the signature and seal, with the name, code and registration number of the doctor).
  • HIV laboratory test performed within six (6) months previous to the date of filing (must specify the method used and must bear the signature and seal, with the name, code and registration number of the laboratory performing the test) (children under 12 years old are exempted from this requirement).
  • Police record from the country of origin, only when the interested party has less than 5 years of residence in Panama (children under 18 years old are exempted from this requirement).
  • Two (2) sets of photocopies of the complete passport, each set authenticated before a Notary Public.
  • Two (2) photographs, identity card size of each dependent.
  • Original passport, valid for at least six months.
  • Certificate of Relationship:
    • a. Marriage Certificate
    • b. Birth Certificate
  • Letter of Responsibility from the principal interested party for each one of his dependents.
  • Two additional sets of photocopies of all documents being filed, except the passport.

NOTE: All documents issued abroad must be duly authenticated by the Panamanian Embassy or Consulate in the country issuing the documents and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Panama.
COST: $15.00 (ID card for 3 months), $100.00 (ID card for 5 years)
TIME FOR ISSUANCE OF VISA: 2 to 4 months

  • Document certifying the following:
    • His condition as retired or pensioner by foreign governments, international organizations or private companies.
    • That the interested party receives a monthly income or pension not less than Five Hundred Balboas (B/.500.00) (legal currency of the Republic of Panama) or its equivalent in a foreign currency. If he(she) has dependents, the income or pension must include in addition to the Five Hundred Balboas, the amount of One Hundred Balboas (B/.100.00) for each dependent.
  • In case of a retired or pensioned from a private company, he (she) must file documents from the pertinent authorities abroad, certifying that said company is operating and must enclose a receipt or proof of payment of said pension.
  • An additional set of photocopies of all documents being filed, including the passport.
